This software is intended to be configured by System Administrators.

Be sure to have read the Command line and Password section.

If you make wrong settings your Computer may become unusable.

With WndBlock you can define:

Requirements:

Operating systems:
Windows XP,2000,NT,Server 2003

System Requirements
Pentium 200 MHz or higher, Internet Explorer 6 or later

 

Command line, Password and Program Access

Warning!

This software is intended to be configured by System Administrators.

The WndBlock password is set for each Window and Process configuration File you save.

Be sure to remember your WndBlock passwords.

If you use WndBlock  with restrictive settings and you can't close the Application your System may become unusable.

To Close WndBlock, move your Mouse in the Bottom Right corner of your screen. You must specify the password to close WndBlock.

You can save your Windows and Process Settings to File - to run WndBlock with no user interface specify the desired settings File as command line parameter

Example:

C:\Program Files\WndBlock\WndBlock.exe "C:\YourSettings.WndBlock"

 

 

Program Windows

This software is intended to be configured by System Administrators.

On the Windows Tab in the main program interface you can define your Program Window List and the actions to be performed.

WndBlock recognizes windows when they are opened on your system, identifies them by the title you configured, and acts accordingly to the actions you defined.

The actions performed on a Program Window can be Ignore, Block, Bring to Front

You can define a Window Title with wild chars (asterisk *)

Example:

Window Title =*Internet* 

Action=Block

WndBlock will block all Program Windows where the word Internet is contained in the Window title

 

Processes

This software is intended to be configured by System Administrators.

On the Processes Tab in the main program interface you can define your Processes and the actions to be performed.

WndBlock recognizes Processes when they are running on your system, identifies them by the name you configured, and acts accordingly to the actions you defined.

To get the Process Name for a Application on your System use the Windows Task Manager

The actions performed on a Process can be Close Process when Computer is Idle, Block, Always Run

Close Process when Computer is Idle

Tell WndBlock to close the defined process when the computer is idle

Block

Tell WndBlock to block (terminate) the defined Process

Example:

Process Name=cmd.exe

Action=Block

Blocks the Dos Command Prompt Process

Always Run

Tell WndBlock to close the defined process when the computer is idle

Example:

Process Name=notepad.exe

Process Executable File=C:\WINNT\Notepad.exe

WndBlock ensures that the Windows Editor is always running
